    Shutup10 disables updates in Windows. Alternatives?


    I've been using Shutup10 for a while now but I noticed that it blocks Windows from updating for a few months now. Are there any other tools you would recommend that stop microsoft from spying on you but don't cripple the updates?

    HOW TO FIX: Windows 10 UPDATES - "Some settings are managed by your organization."

    If you want to update Windows 10 but the option to 'Get Insider Builds' is greyed out then there is a very easy fix to that.

    Download this tool O&O ShutUp10 - O&O ShutUp10: download free antispy tool for Windows 10 then use: Actions -> Undo all changes.

    Windows 10 - Checking for Updates too slow

    After further investigation on this, i've found the root cause to this problem.

    (Because the problem came back again after doing the in-place upgrade, it was easier for me to found it)

    I was using O&O ShutUp10, and this was and is the cause. In order to have checking for updates back to its normal checking time you need to turn off "Telemetry disabled (2 of 3)" -

    After this, no more boring checking times. So for those out there with the same problem, you can avoid what i've told above and just do this.

    Just using the recommended settings doesn't touch update settings.

    I'm not seeing the point of running something like ShutUp10. I sure as hell wouldn't be installing it if it was going to mess with my ability to update. Remove it and see if that restores your update ability. If it does, we just saved you from spending a lot of money on tin foil hats!

    Hi,
    What's the last updates that did install ?
    Look at the uninstall an update section too
    Post screen shots might be the easiest.

    Once I uninstalled shutup10 (set the settings back to default) the updates work fine.
