  1. Sierra Wireless log problem full disk-Windows 10

I have been running low on disk space for a while and kept offloading my files onto an external hard drive.

A a few days ago, things started failing when free space went down to 0 and I had trouble running anything including file explorer.

I managed to free up some space and find a program that showed a tree of disk space used by each folder.

It turns out that the archived log files for Sierra Wireless had grown to approx 240 Gigabytes !!

    File Location C:\Programe Data\Sierra Wireless

Any solution for how to stop creating the logs in windows 10?

    Thanks

Mobile Broadband Sierra Wireless EM7305 not working after windows 10 upgrade

I am having Lenovo X250 with WWAN card that seems to be Sierra Wireless EM7345.

Recently after some upgrade of Windows 10 (x64) the Cellural network option disappeared from Windows 10 menus. However I have still been able to see the WWAN card in Device Manager - working correctly.

    When I had run:

    netsh mbn show interfaces

    I had got replay:

There is no Mobile Broadband interface

When I had tried firmware update tool from Lenovo it had stated: Device not detected.

    I tried many approaches including:

    • multiple times: netcfg -d
    • uninstall the WWAN card in Device Manager
    • install new software from Lenovo support
    • restarts
    • etc
Finally I followed the path below:

    • Uninstalled Sierra Wireless software from Applications
    • Installed new Sierra Wireless package: https://support.lenovo.com/pl/en/downloads/ds119826
    • Uninstalled WWAN card from Device Manager including the driver software
    • Installed Ericsson N5321gw / H5321gw Mobile Broadband Driver for Windows 10 (32-bit & 64-bit) - ThinkPads (!!!) https://support.lenovo.com/pl/en/downloads/ds103819
    • Installed Ericsson H5321gw/C5621gw/N5321gw Mobile Broadband Firmware for Windows 10 (32-bit, 64-bit), 8.1 (32-bit, 64-bit), 8 (32-bit, 64-bit) - ThinkPad (!!!) https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/pl/en/...inkpad-x1-carbon-20bs-20bt/downloads/ds039685
    • Then in the Device Manager - selected: Scan for HW changes
    • Magic happened: something was discovered, appeared and then disappeared in Device Manager list, pop-up about firmware update appeared and said it was successful (do not know if it was Sierra or Ericsson), finally the
Sierra Wireless EM7345 was present in Device Manager
    • Cellular connection option is again available!
As strange as it may seems it worked for me Sierra Wireless log problem full disk-Windows 10 :).

edit: I forgot to mention that I was also a user of Cisco Systems VPN software. Found some entries that it may affect Windows 10 wireless networks management so before all the steps described above I have uninstalled that software and also Uninstalled DNE
(following my company guide in that matter).

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:
    • Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
    • Try different keyboard or mouse.
    • Restart computer, repeatedly.
    • Google for related issues.
    • Update Bios, because why not.
    • Create boot media and revert to windows 7.
The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.

Disk bloat in Windows 10 Fall Creators Update

Is it my imagination, or does the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update consume an additional 20-30GB of disk space over the previous Creators Update release? Unfortunately, I didn't log my disk usage before the upgrade, but now my C: drive has 56GB of stuff, and I know it wasn't anywhere near that full before. I've run "Disk Cleanup -> Clean up system files" and selected everything on the list, including remove previous version of Windows. I also emptied my Recycle Bin, my Temp folder, \Windows\Temp folder, and \Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download folder. Finally, I ran Wise Disk Cleaner to delete assorted application garbage.

Has anyone else noticed the bloat in Fall Creators Update?
