Windows 10: Sign-in activity screen displays conflicting information.

While checking for attempts to breach my account, I was alarmed to find what appears to be a successful sign-in followed by an unsuccessful attempt to change my password. However, after clicking the link, a notification appears stating that the sign-in attempt was unsuccessful. Which is it?!

It is important that you have the correct screen display and resolution. We suggest that you perform the following steps to reset the monitor settings:

• Boot your computer in
  safe mode.
• Once in safe mode, right-click the desktop > Screen Resolution.
• Change the display settings back to the original configuration.
• Restart your computer.

How to make Windows 10 login Screen display users that are signed in

1. Press the Windows logo key + R simultaneously to open the Run box. Type cmd and press Enter.
2. When the Command Prompt window opens, type query user and press Enter. It will list all users that are currently logged on your computer.
