Windows 10: "Sign in" button not working in Windows 11 login screen

Hello, today I tried to log into my account but it wouldn't work as the "Sign in" button would just send me back to the previous screen. The first time I try to log in, for about half a second the account name gets replaced by "New User" before I'm sent back to the starting screen this only happens once, as from the second time on it just sends me back and the account name is the proper oneI already tried to:- reboot- uninstall updates from the recovery menu, I chose both options but it always came back with a "Couldn't uninstall the latest update" error- boot into safe mode, in that case, t

Ways to bypass the login theme and signin do not work

Tried setting netplwiz in option 1 step 4 which shows no check in users must enter ..... no bypass of login

Tried step 4 in option 5 below to disable require sign-on on wakeup via policy via registry but still no change on wakeup still getting the screen picture that requires hitting Esc to move to the sign in window which shows a silhouette image, my user name and a sign in button in order to access my desktop screen. Guess I will have to live with the extra steps.

I know you want to get into Safe Mode, but for verification, are you able to sign-in with the changed Microsoft account password on the PC?

Thanks for the quick reply. While your suggestion does change the sign in process, it doesn't address the differing screenshot question. Following the steps doesn't make the login screenshot the same as the Lock screenshot. As I mentioned, I can't even find the screenshots being used for both screens.

Still looking a solution to this. Open to any other suggestions you might have to the problem. Thanks!
