    Start Button Unresponsive

My start button and Windows key frequently become unresponsive. The only thing I can do is sign out and sign back in or restart manually. This happens at least once a day, and I'm getting really tired of it. It seems to have started after the last version of Windows 10 was installed. How can I fix this?

Why no "Log Off" button offered on Windows 10?

    Hello Dan,

Regarding your concern, the log off button was replaced by
    sign off
in Windows 10. To sign out, just follow these steps:

    • Right-click the Windows or Start button on the lower left.
    • Hover your cursor to Shut down or Sign out to show 4 options in the drop down (Sign out, Sleep, Shut down, Restart.)
    • Choose Sign out.
Let us know how it goes.

    Regards.

  4. Sign in button Unresponsive unable to log in

Automatic sign in and everything is unresponsive.

    Hi,

As per the issue description your system get automatically signed in to other user account which is standard account. If I understand you correctly, you are unable to use keyboard but can use mouse, correct me if I am wrong.

If you are able to use mouse on your computer then try to follow the steps provided below to change the account type of this standard account to Administrator and see if it brings any difference.

    • Right click on start icon.
    • Click on Control panel.
    • Select large icons under view by.
    • Select User accounts from the list.
    • Select the account through which you are logged in.
    • Click on Manage Account type.
    • Change it to Administrator.
    • Restart the computer and see if it brings any difference.

    Do keep us updated.

    Regards,
