In win11 I want to disable sign in every time I close laptop. In settings when I try to set "when do you want me to require sign in" to Never. Before I can enter password, the settings screen locks up forcing me to close Settings in task manager. How do I fix this?

    :)

  2. Best method to disable Vista/Vista 64 driver signing?

    Black Ice:

It's not a matter of "try". The bcdedit command is not fully consistent and reliable for some folks.

So far, to me, it seems the third choice always locks (disables) the driver signing. If that is the case for anyone who uses it, then that would suggest it is the more reliable and consistent method of the ones I've listed, anyway.

    Thanks for your feedback.

    Disabling sign in screen

Thanks for the suggestion. I am getting an error: "The user name or password is incorrect. Try again." I think this could be due to an issue with having two user logins with the same name. I get two options on the sign-in screen on the bottom left of the screen, both say Jon Lawrance. See attached.

How do I completely disable the Sign In screen?

    Hi,

I realize that you need to disable the Sign-in screen, let me assist you.

I suggest you to try disabling the Lock screen using Group policy settings. You need to login using an Administrator account to perform these steps.

    • Press Windows Key +R key, type
gpedit.msc and press Enter key. This will open the
      Local Group Policy Editor.

    • Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Control Panel > Personalization.

    • Double click “Do not display the lock screen” and select
Enabled from the dialog that pops up. Click OK.

Note: This settings works if there is only single user account in the system and the user account does not require a password to login.

Hope the information helps, kindly write back to us for further assistance on Windows, we’ll be glad to assist you.

    Thank you.
