Windows 10: Sign-in Method is not allowed after upgrading to Windows 11

Hello, When some users upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 and reboot, they are unable to sign back into the device. It seems like the upgrade removes all credentials from the device. When they add their username and password, they get "your organisation requires additional sign-in security. To set it up, go to Sign-in options in Settings. The sign-in method you're trying to use isn't allowed, For more info, contact your network administrator" . OR they get "Your device couldn't recognize you. Please try again. Thread updated with a newer method that allows multiple windows OS's on the one USB. nice little windows GUI, but a few more steps than the old method.


This method supports XP.

This issue may happen if you're signing in to a computer using non administrator ID.
In order for us to efficiently you, we just have few questions for you:

• Were there any changes made to your computer prior to the issue?
• Is your computer connected to a domain?
• Have you checked the Group Policy if the "Allow log on locally" was setup to allow users or domain users?

Thanks for replying, but this doesn't help since the only user on the computer is the administrator which is the account that cannot log in. So step 1 does not work since the Win key is not recognized.

How do I log into the computer with the only user being the one that is locked out?
