Windows 10: Sign in option always have 2 hours locked issue even though its my first try unlocking

I have an issue where my laptop just locks for 2 hours for too many sign in attempts, but the thing is that I only input the pin once and I immediately faced the locked laptop issue. I was wondering if there was a second party trying to hack my laptop.

Microsoft account still locked after 2 hours. no option to sign in another way for 2 days

Windows 11 - I have tried to use administrator to unlock but there is no option to unlock ? No tab for Sign in another way, i forgot my pin and cannot change sign in threshold as its not available for my version. We have waited the 2 hours. Tried the challenge password and still no joy. What do we do now. Help please!

I suggest you to try the below mentioned steps to make device getting locked automatically:

* Press Windows Key, type
settings and select Setting from the list

* Navigate to Account />Sign-In options/>Lock Screen />Screen time out

* Change the value as required under Screen as per requirement.

unlock hard drive


I just installed w10 and I love it!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a dell laptop with a ssd and it works fine. the problem is my second harddrive which is connected a usb and it has all my data on it, except it is locked and cannot edit a file and save the file. We will call that #2, #1 works fine, I can edit and save, #2 I can view but no edit and save. I use photoshop and when I go to save it states that the file is locked. #2 is partitioned into 3 drives and all drives act the same. everything worked on win 7 in the same configuration.
So with my whiz bang mentality I say the drive is locked. But I do not know how to unlock it !!! can anybody help me!!!
I am a old senior teckky and things have to be laid out step by step. Is there a program I can download to unlock the HD,??? or do I have to do it the old fashion way, step by step
