Windows 10: Sign in to a new Windows 10 Pro PC with a work/school Office 365 account

I have a client that signed up with GoDaddy for domain, email and Office 365. GoDaddy issued a domain branded email account *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.

We have a new PC with Windows 10 Pro installed and want to sign in to Windows using the *** Email address is removed for privacy *** as the user. They will have several users who will share the PC and we want to keep their information separate. The problem is that we cannot use the *** Email address is removed for privacy *** address as a Microsoft account for login purposes. We get the "Cannot use a work/school account" message.


So how do we allow the users to sign into the PC? Is there something I am missing as there is no Azure Ad access I can find. The system is not joined to a domain. And GoDaddy keeps telling me that the account is an Office365 account not a Microsoft account but it is treated as a work account.


Is this a new "feature"?


I have two options:

1. Create local accounts. Not very secure and cannot sync settings between systems.

2. Create an extra outlook.com account for each user and link the Office365 accounts. Not very appealing.


Neither solution sounds good. In both cases it is an extra account and password to remember.


The only solution that allows us to keep our domain email address and use it is to cancel our Office365 package with GoDaddy and sign up with a service like GSuites where there email service will work with Microsoft.


Any suggestions before we pull the trigger.

Work School account

We have domain joined computers running windows 10.

The office 365 account is synced with AD and the Office account password gets updated from the DC AD

Every 3 month, the password policy requires users to reset their password.

When users reset their password, outlook requests to update the password since it's sync with AD

When entering the new password in outlook, Windows 10 automatically signs in to work school account

When this happens, all microsoft suite products stop working and get stuck in an endless loop of sign in.

When this issue happens, we have to login to every computer and sign out the work school account.

Is there a way to stop this from happening? Can I block the work school sign in?

Cannot log onto Office 365 or MS for Business account from Windows on Surface

I am the administrator of my Office 365 and trying to log onto Windows 10 on my Surface with the 365 account produces an error "That Microsoft account doesn't exist. Enter a different account or get a new one .. "

I am logged on to that PC as a local administrator and have my office 365 details in the School or Work account fields of Office, and 'Email & app account' and 'Access work or school fields' under Accounts in Windows Settings.

I get the error when I go to Accounts in Windows Settings, click on 'Sign in with a Microsoft Account instead'.

 

My Office 365 School Account Disabled the Windows Update with Group Policies

My friend setup his PC (Windows 10 1703) with his Office 365 School Account. Now, this account prevents the Windows Update for every user with some Group Policies restrictions .

A warn appeared on Windows Update page in Settings like "Your PC controlled with some policies by your corporation".

I removed the account from "School & Work Accounts" page in Settings. I also applied some Group Policies remove tricks like "gpupdate /force" but I'm unlucky

How can I rid the 365 account off permanently from the PC ?
