Windows 10: "Sign in with a local account instead" option is missing

I would like to remove the Microsoft account from my laptop Windows 11 Pro I tried many times, but unfortunately the option "Sign in with a local account instead" is not shown in Settings > Accounts > I checked all sections inside AccountsLet me know if there's any solution.Note that: I already removed the device from the Microsoft account Settings that I want to delete from the device.

Apparently this is a relatively common issue... at least according to the numbers here, https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...0299bb2?page=1 where there are a couple of screenshots including the 'Your info' screen with this missing. There is no resolution there, just the suggestion 'The user account is corrupted'. "Manage my Microsoft Account" takes you (after logging in on line) to

- which might appear to be of interest, but the option to remove a device seems to be for devices you no longer use.

Since the Fall Creators Update, I've spent countless hours trying to find the "Sign in with a local account instead" option on the PC settings, but even now I still can't find it. It was suddenly missing under the 'Your info' tab.

I want to remove the account out of my PC and switch it to a local account because I plan to mark said account for closure/deletion and replace it with another one, but I find myself unable to. I feel like it would have bad consequences on my PC if I kept
it logged in to my Microsoft account, which, like I said, is marked for closure/deletion.

Where is the "Sign in with a local account instead" option? Did it move to another place without our knowledge?

On the "your info" tab in Accounts, the "sign in with a local account instead" option is missing. I am running Windows 10 Home, Version 21H2 OS Build 10944.1826.
