Creator's Update causing significant OS latency

    Hello,

After updating to Win10 Creator's Update, my computer has been experiencing significant latency. Apps fail to launch, the cursor lags and jumps across the screen, and system functionality such as the task manager and notifications tab take excessively long
to launch, if they launch at all. I had no problems on previous versions of Windows with this computer.

    System:

    Mobo: Asus Z77 Sabertooth

    CPU: Intel i7-3770k

    RAM: 2x 8gb DDR3

    GPU: 2x 8gb AMD R9 390x

Windows is installed and running on a Samsung SSD

    Wdf01000.sys Latency - Windows 10

Hi Bowzin, after two days searching I (think) finally solved it, my highest latency is 0,49ms now. 1) Download Driver Booster 5 and update all drivers, even if you have done this manually at device manager. BIOS, mouse, everything.

    2) I followed all steps at Audient web page regarding latency: power plan, HD and SSD properties, etc.

Thats it, I now plan to reduce it even more, but this is a huge step. I made several test while updating drivers and each time it threw a different driver problem with latency above 1,5ms.

Suffering bad intermittent latency issues. Need helpful procedure.

    Hi all,

I use a UK Dell XPS 8700 mid 2013 which I have had from new.

I have been noticing (particularly Audio) latency issues for around 3 months, even after getting months of intermittent sluggishness e.g. lumpy browsing.

It has now got to the point its a real problem.

Even after a clean reinstall of Windows 10 pro I was still suffering.

Could someone who already knows about fixing this Latency problem kindly suggest a procedure to help?

    Notes:

    • My use is 70% a mixture of creative stuff like Audio, some video, or replaying iTunes Movies, tunes etc.
    • ....and watching/listening Youtube account for about 15% and about 10% for not really important games.
    • I use a 2022 Focusrite external sound card.
    • I don't want to reinstall Win10 etc. again.
    • I don't want to remove the apps I have installed and configured.
    • I have run anti virus checks including Adaware. All negative.
    • I have run Latencymon on the suggestion of Focusrite and can see plainly that there is a latency issue, but I do not have the knowledge to interpret it and correct the issue.
    Thanks in advance
