    Win10 Slow boot time. Help debug with Windows Performance Analyzer

    Hi,

    I think that the issue is caused by the "Generic HDD SCSI Disk Device" driver

    you have 8 disk drive attached to your computer:
    1. Samsung SSD 860 EVO 500GB
    2. Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB
    3. ST4000DM004-2CV104
    4. TOSHIBA DT01ACA200
    5. WDC WD20EARX-008FB0
    6. Generic HDD SCSI Disk Device
    7. Seagate BUP BK SCSI Disk Device
    8. Kingston DT Elite G2 USB Device

    I would suggest you uninstall the Generic driver from the device manager;
    • Open device manager and display the hidden devices;
    • Generic "HDD SCSI Disk Device" under disk driver and uninstall it.

    SLi causing a reduction in performance!

    Ok, I think I have fixed the issue. NeoCrisis was correct, the driver was not installing correctly for the second card, causing the clock speeds to run at 400MHz core and memory.

    To fix the issue I followed the steps listed here.

    After doing that I re-installed the 177.92 drivers, and both cards are not reported correctling in GPU-z and Nvidia control panel. I'm just running some tests now to confirm that they are actually running correctly. I'll edit this post when the benchmarks are done to let you know if it really did work.

    Ethernet is showing as Kernel Debug Network Adapater

    Hi,

    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

    I understand that you see Kernel Debug Network Adapter in Device Manager. This can happen if debugging is turner on. I would suggest you to turn off debugging by following the steps mentioned below:

    1. Type command prompt in the search bar on the
      Taskbar.
    2. Right click on the command prompt icon and select
      Run as administrator.
    3. Paste the following commands and hit Enter:

      bcdedit /debug off

    If you still see the Network Adapter, you can disable it from Device Manager without problems. Refer the steps mentioned below:

    1. Press Windows Logo key + X, to open
      Device Manager.
    2. Expand Network adapters.
    3. Now, right click on the Kernel Debug adapter and select
      Disable device.

    Let us know how it goes.
