Windows 10: Signing into account prompts message that account doesn't exist, when making new account...

When I try signing into my Microsoft account, it tells me that "That Microsoft account doesn't exist. Enter a different account or get a new one". However, when I try to make a new account with the same email, it says that "You may already have an account", presumably the one that I cannot sign into. When I try to use the support.microsoft.com username recovery system, they tell me that "Username cannot be found". I am assuming that this may be an issue with my email as there may have been a security risk on all accounts with the same email.Is there a way I can recover that email? I can't cal

Strange Windows 10 User Account issue.

Unfortunately I had done those steps numerous reboots, it just, reappears for no good reason. The base account isn't even a Microsoft account, it's a local account.

I haven't quite tried the built in administrator account on W10, but so far in my experience on my own computer, the built in account seemed to have absolutely no more control than I did on my own.

It's just strange, I go in, it warns me twice about deleting the account, then it's gone. Reboot, and it's back?

EDIT: Just to specify, both command line and Netplwiz both say only HIS account exists on the computer, it doesn't list this rogue account. This is what I meant in my first post about the fact that even Windows doesn't seem to believe it exists, HALF the time. *Frown

 

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

If you want an alternative yahoo account, you MUST complete a new registration application in your choice of alias account name. You cannot do it by simply using the ADD feature on your primary account detail sheet.

Here is the answer that Yahoo could not define explicitly and users like myself get into one hell of a mess :-

1. You have an existing Yahoo account Fred @yahoo.com, username = Fred. This is the primary account.
2. Log onto yahoo.com.
3. Create a second completely new account by REGISTERING.
4. New account is john @yahoo.com, username = John.
5. Yahoo confirmation is received by John.
6. Verify account by clicking confirmation data.
7. New account is now active for send and receive.
8. You can now ADD the new secondary account to the primary account as an alternative account and vice versa.
9. It all now works, messages can be sent and received between each of your primary and secondary accounts.
