Windows 10: Signing into Microsoft account essentially corrupts the PC!

My girlfriend's PC has been having nothing but issues and I've figured out its being caused by using a Microsoft account instead of using a local account, originally it was on 20H2 but was immediately signed into her account and caused all browsers except Edge to immediately crash, so we completely reset the PC and I got a 1909 iso which is the same version as my computer.

Everything was working great until she signed into her account about half an hour ago in order to use a pin (which is an extraordinarily stupid requirement) and as soon as she signed in all browsers stopped working again, she has a Windows 10 home license linked to her account but her account is causing the problems, so what're we supposed to do for a windows license if we have to reset the computer yet again just to convert it back to a local account?

Why they've completely removed the option to do that without resetting the entire PC is beyond me, it makes just using the OS unnecessarily difficult for absolutely zero reason.

Why is her account doing this? She's used it for her xbox for the past 5+ years with no issues but as soon as it's linked to a PC it causes nothing but issues, does Microsoft really expect us to pay ANOTHER $100 just because they somehow messed up her account?

Edit: Also when using the option to "sign out" the screen goes completely black and doesn't allow us to sign back in unless we fully shut down the PC and turn it back on, that's definitely not normal behavior and it didn't happen when only using the local account, so it is most definitely something related to her Microsoft account.

Cannot sign in microsoft account.

My device: Lumia 520. GDR2.
I cannot sign in my Microsoft account on my device. It didnt say any error but Microsoft account is not listed in Email and account list. When I click add button, it will show microsoft account option but after press sign in, it is still not shown in email
and account. Another problem is i cannot delete facebook account. Error code: 0x83cf1202. I have tried as suggested here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2475837/en-us#step0x83cf1202 but as my Microsoft account is not shown, I cannot do step 6.

Any suggestion?

Welcome to Microsoft Community.

• Is this the only account on the computer?
• Was this account upgraded from previous version of Windows?

It looks like you are using a local account. I suggest you follow these steps:

• Click on search in taskbar and type account.
• Click on Accounts.
• Now, under Your account, click on Sign in with Microsoft account instead.
• Enter your Local account password for confirmation and then follow the screen instruction.
• Enter User name credentials for your the new Microsoft account and click OK.

Unable to sign in with a Microsoft account due to corruption?

You said you are able to sign into a local administrator account? Could you try creating an entirely new account from that account, sign into it, copy over your files from the corrupt account, delete the corrupt account, then switch the new account to
a Microsoft Account?

Open Start > Settings > Accounts > Your info

Click sign in with a Microsoft account instead

Enter the email address of the account you want to use

Click Next

Enter your Microsoft Account password

Enter the current Local account password used to sign into the account

Click Next and you should be signed in with the new account.
