Windows 10: signing into my computer.

so unfortunately my account was hacked last night and i had to buy it back i reset all of my information with a new email and password and logged out. Then this evening i was trying to log in and i don’t know if my pin was reset or deleted but it’s making me sign into my microsoft account on my computer lock screen, so i do. After entering my information it then prompts me with “Create a PIN” and the only button to hit is next so i hit next it loads for a secound and then says something went wrong we weren’t able to set up your PIN. You can try again, or skip this step and set up a PIN later.

There's a possibility that you are currently signed in on your computer using your local account. For us to sort this out, we suggest that you sign in with your Microsoft account instead. Follow these steps:

• Open Settings > Accounts > Your email and accounts.
• Select Sign in with a Microsoft account instead.
• Follow the on-screen instructions.

Once signed in with your Microsoft account on your computer, try signing into the Windows Store app.

About your concern with typing the password after being idle, it is actually recommended to activate for security reasons.

If you wish to disable it, I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Settings.
• Click on Accounts.
• Click on Sign in options.
• On the right side, you will see required sign in.
• Change it to Never.
