    Hi guys,

I attend DSU online and wanted to sign into my school account on my surface book to gain access to the Office apps but I came to figure out today that their GPOs were applying to my personal PC! Obviously I probably should've known that but is there anyway to sign into the account without applying their GPOs? Im a CS major and went to download a friend's .exe from GitHub just to have virus & threat center block it, so I went to temporarily disable the virus scanner to figure out that I can't because I'm apart of DSU's workgroup. -_-

I'm in no ways connected to their local network, why the hell do I have to follow their policies to use word... Seems very silly.

My Office 365 School Account Disabled the Windows Update with Group Policies

My friend setup his PC (Windows 10 1703) with his Office 365 School Account. Now, this account prevents the Windows Update for every user with some Group Policies restrictions .

A warn appeared on Windows Update page in Settings like "Your PC controlled with some policies by your corporation".

I removed the account from "School & Work Accounts" page in Settings. I also applied some Group Policies remove tricks like "gpupdate /force" but I'm unlucky Signing into school account on Windows 10 without applying their group policy. :(

How can I rid the 365 account off permanently from the PC ?

    Thanks.

    GROUP POLICIES IN WINDOWS 10

You can change Group Policies by opening Group Policy Editor first. You can open it by following these steps:

    • Log in an administrator account. If you are already logged in as an administrator, proceed to step 2.
    • Press Windows + R to open Run.
    • Type gpedit.msc and press Enter.

After opening Group Policy Editor, you can now make the necessary changes that you want.

Should you have more concerns, feel free to post.

    Regards.
