Windows 10: Sikuli on Java does not recognize images

I have been trying to automate some tasks on my computer and chose Sikuli from Java to do so I work with Java every day and didn't know any automation tool using java, sikuli was the first I found. I use java with maven and eclipse as Java IDE. I have added Sikuli as a Maven dependency.<dependency> <groupId>com.sikulix</groupId> <artifactId>sikulixapi</artifactId> <version>2.0.5</version></dependency>I tried to do some simple stuff. Java, or Not

I restored a system image, which put Java back on my machine. Then I ran the official Java uninstall tool. As far as I can tell, it didn't do any more than uninstalling using the Control Panel Programs and Features uninstall process. The Java folder still appears in the Start Menu (I now know I can delete this whole thing easily). And the Toolkit v7 is still there.

So, what do I have to do to get rid of Toolkit?

zebal, you mentioned 'System->Apps.' I assume you meant Settings>Apps. I didn't think after I restored the system image to go there and see if Java is listed, but even if it was, I doubt uninstalling from there would have produced different results. At any rate, it's not listed now. And thanks for all the steps you recommended. If necessary when this is (almost) over, I'll check into them and see if there's something there. But I assume an uninstaller should take care of most of that kind of thing.

So, do I have to choose an uninstaller, restore the system image again, and uninstall using the uninstall program? I can tinker with at least some remnants and delete them. Again, my main concern at this point is getting rid of Toolkit.

After my last post I decided to search the web on the deletion of the toolkit.

It's as simple as deleting the file 'npDeployJava1.dll' from C:>Windows>System32. Oh, the joy!

I'll entertain any final thoughts, but unless something unexpected happens, the problem has been solved.

[HELP]Image recovery issues

Guys i am trying to fix my cousins Asus Eee netbook. It has a backup image file that is partitioned on the hard drive but when I go to use it the app will run through a few steps and stop. It is running Vista . Any suggestions?
