Windows 10: Sim Copying

Hello!My account was recently compromised, I was able to fully recover it and enable an authenticator and other forms of authentication.I recently noticed in my sign that an IP I have never seen before was able to access my account. After a quick IP lookup I saw that the IP was using a mobile network “Telephonica” is it possible they were able to copy my SIM card and use it to access my messages to bypass my authentication?Thank you! E66 - Copying Contacts To SIM

Thanks for your post and welcome to the forum.



Let's hope this works, instructions below on how to blindly copy your contacts to your Sim card on your E66.



Press the contact shortcut key to open your contact list (wait a few seconds for the phone to open the list before going to the next step as it won't open straight away).

Press the top left select button - this will bring you to the Options list.

Press the select key down seven times - This will bring you to Mark/Unmark

Press the middle select key to select this option

Press the down select key once - this will bring you to 'Mark all'

Now press the middle select key to select this option

Now press the top left select key again and press the select key down five times - this will bring you to 'Copy'

Press the middle select key to select. Press again to select the 'Copy to SIM directory'.



The contacts will now be copied to your SIM card. Please keep in mind that the SIM card might not be able to store all 200 of your contacts, but it should at least save a big part of it.

Follow the steps below to import your contacts from the SIM card.

To import contacts from a SIM card

  On Start, tap People.
  
• 
  Tap More
  
  , and then tap Settings.
  
• 
  Tap Import SIM contacts and follow the instructions.
  
  Note that a copy of your contacts will remain on the card.
