    Simple Question on Keyboard Shortcuts

This is a very simple question. However, it has been a real pain to word it correctly, for example to "google" or "Help" engines.

To obtain the results I'm needing. So, I thought I would try a community, where I can use plain old English to ask it.

I work extensively with explorer, creating new folders, moving multiple items to their own folders, etc.

Lets say, I get halfway down a list of a thousand items and I want to 'select' the rest of the items on the list to 'cut' and 'paste'

and move to a separate folder. Instead of holding down 'Ctrl' and manually clicking the remaining approximately 500 more items,

there is a shortcut command to tell windows to select "the rest" of the items on the list.

I would like to know what that command is. I knew it several years ago, but I can't seem to recall it now.

How do I select multiple items on a list of items from a point I designate throughout to the end of the list?

Thank you in advance for your assistance, it is much appreciated.

    :)
