Windows 10: Sims4 will not launch on my new laptop

I bought a new laptop and recently installed Origin client and my Sims 4 game. When I try to play the game I get a Windows error, The Sims 4 has stopped playing. I have yet to be able to play the game since I did all the installing last night of all things needed to play the game. I have checked with Origin and there is nothing wrong on that end. I have checked with my firewall and everything there is fine. Windows is the only program that is not allowing me to play the game.


Also, the latest update for the game was done prior to me getting this laptop and when downloaded games into Origin, the latest version was done. If that is helpful.

origin problem with the sims4 game

This issue might occur if



I suggest you to contact the Sims4 website support for further assistance on the issue.

If the issue is related to Windows Defender, then try temporarily disabling Windows Defender and check with the issue.

1. Click on Search bar.

2. Then type Settings and click on it.

3. After that choose Update & Security.

4. Then select Windows Defender.

5. Try to disable Windows Defender and check with the issue.
