Simultaneous dual ethernet networks? Is it possible?

Long story short: for my purposes, I have to connect via ethernet to one device hooked up to my computer in order to control it, which means I'm stuck with my onboard wifi for internet, which honestly isn't very good. I know it's 802.11ac and should be a theoretical 1300mbps connection to my Nighthawk router, but for some reason my up and down speeds are higher and more stable when I'm connected directly via ethernet. Now, the device I'm connected to with ethernet does have a built-in wireless connection that would allow me to connect to it via wifi, but the problem is that for some reason my Windows 10 seems to automatically prioritize wifi connections over ethernet, so if I connect to the device via wireless, Windows will tell me I can't get on the internet. But, when I connect via ethernet to the device and via wifi to my router, both work just fine, just with a slightly lower actual internet speed (the connection to my house is 200Mbps). And honestly, I'd rather be connected to the device via ethernet anyway, as it's much more stable of a connection, which is fairly mission-critical for me.

It's because of this that I want to get a gigabit add-in card. However, before I spend money, I want to know: can I connect to two ethernet networks simultaneously with Windows 10 Pro?

    :)

Dial Up and Ethernet connection simultaneously

    Hello All,

I have a PC with Windows 10 installed. The PC is connected to the LAN and has access to the internet.
I have connected as well the ISDN Terminal Adapter to this PC, which I am using for the Dial UP connections.
I know this is old technology but I need Dial UP for the maintaining some of my customers equipment.

The problem is, as soon as I establish the Dial Up connection I am losing access to the Internet and on my Ethernet connection icon I can see this yellow triangle with exclamation mark. The funny thing is, not so far ago everything has been working properly, now it is really annoying, because usually I am connecting to this PC via app similar to the Team Viewer and when I am Dial Up the PC is losing access to the Internet and I am losing remote access to this PC, which is pointless. Any advice and suggestions will be really appreciated!

Please see the screenshots of my routing table before and after Dial Up connection at the bottom of this post.

As you can see the metric of my default route is changing every time when I Dial Up.

I was trying to change the metric manually but even if I do this, always after I Dial Up the metric for my default gateway is changed.

    Kind Regards,

    Nick

IP configuration not valid - interference from ethernet adapter?

Solution 1: No Internet Access In Windows 8.1or Windows 10

    Step 1:

Go to Device Manager → Network adapters.
    Step 2:

    Expand it (Network adapters).

    Step 3:

    Select your network adapter

    Step 4:

Right click on your wireless network adapter or Ethernet adapter and then tap “Update Driver Software”.
(in this case your network adopter is Ethernet adopter so tap your Ethernet adapter)
    Step 5:

Now on a new window you will need to click on “Browse my computer for driver software”.

    Step 8:

After the completion of the process just restart your PC and check if the problem is solved or not. If not, goto solution 2.

Solution 2: No Internet Access In Windows 8.1,windows10

    Step 1:

    Open command prompt.
    Step 2:

Just go on hitting the enter after typing the each command.
netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disable
netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled
    Step 3:

Now to check if the settings are disabled type:
    netsh int tcp show global
    then hit enter.
    Step 4:

Now the thing left is just rebooting your system and just check if the problem is solved or not and just give feedback.*chuckle*Thumbs

Is it possible to play sound through headphones and HDMI output simultaneously?

    Hi David,

I would like to inform that it is not possible to output sound through both the HDMI and the headphone jack simultaneously.

But you can watch video through HDMI and listen via headphone jack.

    Follow the steps below.

    • Right click on the speaker icon in the taskbar
    • Left click playback devices
    • Right click HDMI
    • Select Disable.

    Hope this information helps.
