Windows 10: Simultaneously open multiple files with different apps

From Windows 10 file explorer, I cannot simultaneously open multiple files with different apps. For example, I want to open a .docx file with Word, a .xlsx file with Excel, and .pdf file with Adobe at the same time. When I select the files I want to open and click enter or contol+shift+enter, none of the files open. Selecting the files and right clicking also does not provide me the option to 'Open.' Interestingly, I can simultaneously open multiple files with the same app i.e. open 3 .pdf files at once with Adobe. Default apps are already correctly assigned to the appropriate file type. How do I simultaneously open multiple files with different apps? Thank you!

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Renaming a file into multiple different names

I'll simplify question, I have one file that needs to be renamed and copied into multiple different names is there any batch in Windows 10 (OS build 18362.476) that I could use, I am also opened for any other suggestions?
