Since HP no longer supports their Officejet 4500 G510-n and will not provide drivers for Windows 11 making this device scanner inoperable which all in one printer besides HP is Windows 11 compatible

Uninstall then reinstall your Printer using the correct Drivers and setup information at this HP website.

HP Officejet 4500

I recently updated my computer to Windows 10 and now my HP Officejet 4500 is no longer recognized by my computer. I downloaded HP Support Assistant to try to update drivers but it gets stuck at 98%. I'm not too technically proficient in computers but if
anyone could point me in the right direction or give me some step by step instructions on what to look for I'd really appreciate it. If you need any other information about my problem I'll gladly provide it.

Hi MKSimonich, I am Rob, a volunteer and a 10 time and dual award MVP specializing in Windows troubleshooting and Bluescreen analysis.

This is exactly what I would do if I had that problem.

As OEM HP is responsible for the proper operation of the printer/scanner

and their supplied drivers. Check with HP Support, their on-line documentation and drivers, and ask in their forums.

It may not be a software problem however it is worth checking.

Try the HP Print and Scan Doctor for Windows (10, 8/8.1, 7, Vista, and XP)

Good chance you need to update or re-install the latest available driver.
