    Since latest Windows 11 22H2 update trying to open .mp4 and .mp3 files shows NO SUCH...

    Since latest Windows 11 update trying to open .mp4 and .mp3 files shows NO SUCH SUPPORTED DEVICEI've gone into Settings / Apps / Installed Apps / Media Player and Movies & TV and tried both a Repair and Reset. Once I do that it will open the files. However, the next time I try it throws the same error message. I haver also tried setting the DEFAULT app to open these files and that works but again when I try it again it throws the same error message., This is so frustrating! This is also happening to image files as well: .jpg, png, tiff, RAW files etc.How do I fix this??

    :)

  2. Context Menu - Open With (Windows Suggested List)

    OS: Windows 10 Pro x64 22H2
    Diagram 'A' shows Windows' suggested programs
    Diagram 'B' shows the extended list

    I have been trying to edit the context menu's "Open with" list of Windows' suggested programs for the .mp3 extension.
    I'm not talking about the extended list, but rather the programs that first appear 'before' the "choose another app" option.
    If you look at Diagram 'A' you will see the preliminary list generated by Windows, this is the list I am looking to modify.
    I have an .mp3 editor named Goldwave that I use for editing audio files, however, I do not want to change the preliminary program Windows uses to open .mp3s. My .mp3s should remain assigned to Winamp Player.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  3. No thumbnails and data like 'lenght' for MP3 / MP4 / PDF

    ALL IS SOLVED, steps followed:
    - Ran the troubleshooter 'Windows Updates' which detected and fixed some issues
    - Ran the search for Windows Updates again which now found 2 additional updates and installed them:
    * KB4580419 - 2020-11 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10 version 2004 for x64
    * KB4586781 - 2020-11 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 version 2004 for x64-based systems
    - Rebooted my system and all was fine again (thumbnails of MP3/MP4/... are back, MP3 artists, titles, lengths etc are back)
