Windows 10: Since latest Windows update none of my online games work

I was wondering if Microsoft has an answer to the problem. After the latest Windows update on my computer Jan 9 2022, my online games generally downloaded from the Microsoft store are no longer working Candy Crush Saga & Mirrors of Albion in particular. The games start opening then shut down. They were working Jan 9 2022 before the update & Jan 10 after the update crash issues. What is in that update that caused the store to not recognise these as installed on my computer?

I suggest you to install the Game in compatibility mode and check if it helps.

Follow the steps below on how to install Game in compatibility mode:

1. Download the Game from the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.

2. Right click on the setup file of the driver and select “Properties”.

3. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

4. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select operating system from the drop down list.

5. Let the Game install and then check the functionality.



And also update Display driver from the manufacture web site and check if it helps.

Games keep crashing on Windows 10.

I would like to inform that the games which were working in previous Operating System may or may not work in Windows 10 due to compatibility issues. I suggest you to check for the latest version of the games which are not working, check compatibility
with Windows 10 and install. If the latest version is not available or if the games are not compatible, suggest you to install the games in compatibility mode by following the steps provided below:

• 
  Download the setup files for the game nd save it on your local disk.
  
• 
  Right click on the setup file of the game and select
  “Properties”.
  
• 
  Select “Compatibility” Tab.
  
•

Steam games do not work after latest update

Hi,

Issues in launching Steam games after the Windows 10, version 1703 update may occur if Game Mode is disabled or the game components are corrupted.

To resolve your concern, we recommend that you manually enable Game Mode by following the steps below:

• Press the Windows key + G on your keyboard.
• Select Settings in the Game bar.
• In the General tab, select the check box for
  Game Mode.

If you are still experiencing the same issue after enabling Game Mode, please answer the questions below so we can properly isolate your concern.

• Were you asked to uninstall the Steam games before installing the Windows 10, version 1703 update?
• Does the issue occur on other games aside from Steam games?
