Windows 10: Since My Computer Updated, Issues Moving/Renaming Photos

Would love to know how to fix this issue without CONSTANTLY having to restart my computer.I often like to rename my photos or organize them as I'm a photographer and have many on my computer. I use Windows 10 and have had this problem on my laptop for about a month now. Well my desktop just upgraded itself on its own today and now is having the same issue:On occasion, I will try to either rename or move a photo or several and I will get an error message stating that the file can't be moved or renamed because it is open in Photos. Sometimes, I will get the same message and instead of "in Ph

• Open the Photo App.
• Click on photo.
• Right click on the photo.
• Select open the folder.
• Right click on the photo and select rename.

Renaming the Computer...

Here’s how to rename the computer on Windows 10:

• Click on the Search icon in the taskbar Search icon;
• Search Rename this computer and click on the result;
• Click Change;
• Rename the computer and then click OK to save.

  Are you trying to rename the photos through file explorer?

  Do you receive any error message when you try to rename the photos?
  

If you are trying to rename the photos before being imported to Windows 10, please be informed that you will have to first import the photos and then rename it later. I would suggest you to try renaming the photos through file explorer by following
the steps below and check if fit helps.

1. Press Windows key + E to open file explorer.

2. Click “this pc” on the left pane.

3. Open the folder/drive where the photos are located.

4. Right click on the photo which you would like to rename and select ‘rename”.
