Since running the big update on friday - have had multiple staff members advise how slow there machines have been almost to the point where its become unusable - are others having the same issue?

I would suggest you to run System maintenance troubleshooter.

Try the followings steps:

• 
  Click "Search" and type "Troubleshooting" without quotes and hit enter.

  Select "System maintenance"
  
•

Computer slows down each friday night,,,seems to be trying to install updates...

I am an online teacher and each Friday night about 8 pm my computer acts very strange. It slows down and takes about an hour to begin acting normally again. this only happens each Friday night. It is so frustrating. I have tried to check my computer
to see if automatic updates are scheduled at that time but I have not found anything. This happen only on Friday nights. The computer runs perfectly at all other times during the week including other teaching times. Please help!!
