Since the latest Win10 update intel RST has stopped working...

    Hi everyone,

Windows 10 just launched a big update (16th April was the installation for me), I believe it enabled Cortana here in Australia, upon restarting I was getting annoying notifications I had previously disabled, and a bunch of smaller software updates were available.

Anyway, I noticed my Intel Rapid Store Technology icon was not the usual "green tick", instead it was a little blue circle, indicating it was not running. When trying to open the application I get an error asking me to restart or reinstall. I did both, but RST will not install, citing that my "platform is not supported" - this is using the latest drivers on the intel website: Download Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST) RAID Driver

I've browsed countless forums, all with different suggestions, I've tried uninstalling the previous version, using 7zip instead of winRAR, using older versions of the intel RST drivers, restarted 20 times, manually starting the service in services.msc etc. nothing works.

I'm guessing this is some sort of version related issue but I am not tech savvy enough to resolve the issue so I'm hoping someone can help me out here... any suggestions are greatly appreciated, I've attached some system info and the install log below:

Raid Array won't initialize in disk management

    Update:

Solved with latest Intel RST drivers, 15.9.0.1015. Specifically, ran the SetupRST.EXE download to update, and resolved the issues.

    Intel's RST driver page is

    Thanks!

  3. Intel RST service

Since it's an upgrade, some software/drivers may need update to support Windows 10. Hence try updating the software/drivers to the latest version and then check.

Additionally, check with the software support for compatibility with Windows 10.

Latest version of Intel RST can be found here:

Download Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST) User Interface and Driver

Regarding WiFi, kindly contact the computer manufacturer support on compatibility with Windows 10.
