  1. Since updating, full folder names don't display in Downloads folder.

In my experience over the years, when file or folder's name is too long that it gets truncated, you simply click on it to see the full name.

So, in other words, I might have a folder like this: https://i.imgur.com/P8nqQUw.png

To see the full name, I just click on it (or highlight via keyboard): https://i.imgur.com/rHdto4t.png

But then the recent Windows update hit (I'm now running version 1909 with build 18363.720) and highlighting files/folders no longer revealed their full name. I enabled the LongPathsEnabled key in the Registry and that put things back to normal, but not in the Downloads folder/library. The one at C:\Users\[username]\Downloads.

So now a long folder name looks like this: https://i.imgur.com/buHPn9H.png

    Even when highlighted: https://i.imgur.com/4WK2EO1.png

It may be worth noting that items in the subfolders within the Downloads folder still work as expected. The other Libraries folders (Music, Pictures, etc.) also work fine. It's not the end of the world by any means, but I download a ton of files with similar names for work and I'm no longer able to quickly distinguish them from each other. I have to either move them, open them, or rename them in order to see the full name.

I realize I could start using a different default location, but it would be nice if I didn't have to. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

I'm tempted to go back to my previous version/build because of this and other little annoyances, but I don't want to potentially leave myself vulnerable to any recent exploits. At the same time, I haven't heard many positive things about 1909...

    Hidden folders

I installed `Kane and Lynch` on my PC twice in Program Files(x86) folder but I can`t find them (2 folders with game). But free space on my HDD is lower. So there`re those folders on my hdd. I use option `unhide` hidden folders but still can`t find them. Any suggestions? How can i delete those hidden folders?

When I run istallation for this game I can see those folders in Program Files(x86) folde.

    I`m using Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

Since updating, full folder names don't display in Downloads folder.

Unable to delete a folder - Invalid folder name

    Suggestion:
    1. Run chkdsk x: /r to make sure that there's no HD corruption.
x: is the drive containing the folder you want to delete.
    2. Try to delete the folder again. If still does not work, go to step 3.
    3. Download: Download - Linux Mint and create a bootable USB using: Rufus - Create bootable USB
    4. Boot up with Linux Mint and try to delete the folder again.
NOTE: Unlike WinPE. Linux does not have any Windows permission imposed to it so it is easier to delete.
