For the longest time, due to old hardware support, I've been running build 1809 for at least 3 years.Due to new software requirements, I was forced to buy replacement hardware for the "obsolete" devices, and upgrade to 21H2.All the years I've run 1809, I've never had audio playback interrupt during multitasking.Now I'm having it happen several times a day. Just now again when I closed an Excel file.I'm running the latest drivers for my MOTU 896 Mk III audio interface. Windows is up to date.I've even tried increasing the buffer size from 500ms to 2000 ms, but no improvement.On 1809, I could r

There may be several reasons why your audio stopped working after the update. To assist you out with this concern, we suggest you try to rollback your audio driver's update. Kindly follow the steps below:

• Press Windows + X.
• Select Device Manager.
• Select your audio driver, right-click on it and choose Properties.
• On the Driver tab, click on Roll Back Driver.

Can someone please tell me, once and for all, how the devil Microsoft updates can cause an audio playback problem. This has happened several times and I'm really tired of it. And trying to fix the problem is a nightmare. I followed all the steps that
the virtual non-speaking icon suggested, including downloading the high def audio driver. It only made things worse. And falling back that mistake didn't help either, since I wound up with no sound period. And why is it so damn difficult to find any audio
driver update on the Microsoft website? I finally downloaded a driver from some site affiliated with Microsoft. It worked, but my speaker volume is currently set nearly maximum volume. I'm sure that this entire problem will happen again. How the **** does
this happen????
