Since when is owning a copy of photoshop a security risk for windows? Your "updates" are now security protection for who? Because it sure as hell isn't for my computer or for my protection. Why did you install a tracking device on my computer to delete photoshop so I can't ever reinstall it?So now if we create a graphic somebody doesn't like, our purchased software programs are deleted without our consent. I thought I lived in the USA not Cuba, Syria, China or Russia.

Is windsows 7 a security risk?

There is 2 security risks. No one can stop security holes even more so with MS software as it would be more targeted although Linux has got to be going up on that list to now.

    1. Your comp being online
    2. The user

    Photoshop 5.0 & Windows 10.

As near as I can tell, the Photoshop 5.0 installer is not compatible with Windows 10 x64. However, it is possible to run Photoshop 5.0 on Windows 10 64 bit.

Here's how I accomplished it, but proceed at your own risk. I recommend creating a restore point prior to continuing.

    1. On a 32-bit Windows 10 computer, copy the "PHOTOSHP" folder and contents from the CD to the desktop (or other location.)

    2. Run "setup.exe" in that folder as an administrator.

    3. Complete the install of Photoshop 5.0 on your 32-bit pc.

    4. Copy the following to a flash drive, or transfer using a network.

    a. C:\Program Files\Adobe (all contents and sub-folders)

    b. C:\Windows\KPCMS.INI

    c. C:\Windows\System32 (any file that was modified the date of install)

    5. On your 64-bit Windows 10 computer, copy the above files, into the same file structure. Do NOT overwrite any existing file.

    6. Make sure you have a pagefile. No matter how much ram you have, Photoshop looks for a pagefile and calls it ram.

    7. Reboot.

    8. Locate and run "Photoshp.exe"

Note Photoshop will not show up as an installed program and will not show up on your Apps list. You will need to pin to start, add to your desktop, etc.
