Windows 10: Since win 10 anniversary update My Logitech web camera fails to work.

My new Logitech HD720 webcam ( 10 months old) that uses USB and sits on top of my laptop worked great under windows 10 .. but since the July 29th / 30th windows 10 anniversary upgrade my web cam doesn't work at all ..

..it recognizes the hardware but won't display an image . .I have reinstalled the Logitech software but it still fails to work ..

I'm sure I read somewhere that this is a legitimate issue and unless you 'tweak the registry' the webcam won't work until windows 10 does another future upgrade to fix this problem ...

Ideas ??

The Windows 10 anniversary update and logitech c270 webcams or nearly all logitech webcams are not working correctly

who wants to bet it won't be until September 29th or 30th? Both Microsoft and Logitech are to blame in this matter. They don't give a rat's behind the amount of money us hard working consumers are losing on a daily basis for every day that we don't have
use of our Logitech web cams. I hated Windows 10 when it came out and I hate it even more since the Anniversary Update.

And of course this particular Logitech camera the c290 is not iOS friendly so you don't have a camera controller if you want to use your Mac....

 

After anniversary update none of the (mine C600) logitech drivers will work with the soft ware.

my logitech software will not work with my c600 webcam... only works with skype.

It's a known problem with the AU and you should be able to fix it using this guide

We have discovered that this is linked to a change Microsoft made in the Windows 10 Anniversary Edition where support of compressed MJPG and H.264 streams for webcams was dropped.

Microsoft is working on an update to address the issue, but at this time we do not have an estimate for when it will be available. We will provide updates on this forum page as we learn more:

Alot have found the issue is only with the Logitech Software too, as the Built in Camera App for Win 10 still works for example for many built in Cams , not sure about your one though.
