Windows 10: Since windows update my display brightness is stuck to low even if increase the slider to 100%

Hi, I have as ASUS tuf fx505ge with intel UHD 630 graphics. Yesterday I installed an update called intel after installing the update everything worked fine but since this morning the display brightness is stuck. I have tried updating the driver but it says I have the best driver. Can you guys help



Also, I recently installed the windows 10 2004 version

Brightness slider doesn't change brightness

Hello after the recent windows update, my brightness slider is not working anymore. Changing the brightness level in the slider doesn't have any effect on the brightness. I tried restoring my plan settings from mobility center and that increased the brightness
level(I dont know to what %). Now, I'm stuck. I tried updating drivers too. Nothing helped.

I'm thinking it's probably due to the recent update I received for the display from windows.

P.S. I have signed up for windows insider programme.

Sorry for the belated response as I was in the meanwhile also trying some other solutions that came in connection with my not being able to delete any attachments to a mail in any mode. Here is an update:

I raised this issue for the first time on April 15, 2016. Several suggestions came in and I tried all of them but the problem remains unsolved.

The background: Recently I upgraded my 2 laptops (Acer 5750 & Sony Vaio 64-bit, i5) from the earlier Windows 7 to Windows 10. The Brightness of Display which was fully good earlier, became too low on Sony laptop
as if set to 15 or 20%, even when set to 100%. Being dim, it strains the eye. No such problem is there with Acer laptop.

Suggestions so far received which have been already implemented are:

  Brightness & Contrast settings
  
• 
  Colour Contrast & Balance
  
• 
  High Contrast & Making the Computer easier to see
  
• 
  Gamma Adjustment
  
• 
  SFC scan now
  
• 
  Complete DIS Scan, including RestoreHealth

  Troubleshooting
  
• 
  Clean Reboot
  

Unfortunately, the trouble remains. Can you or anyone else help?

Brightness Slider Gone from Power Plan

Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Select action center/notification button on the right side of the taskbar, and then move the
Brightness slider to adjust the brightness. As mentioned in the article, if you
don't have a desktop PC and the slider doesn't appear or work, try updating the display driver.
As you have already update the Display drivers, I would suggest you to uninstall and delete the drivers then update it again. To uninstall and delete the drivers, please follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Open Device Manager and then expand the Display adapters
   section.
2. Then right click on options listed below and click on Uninstall.
   
3. Check the box next to Delete this drivers.
4. Then reboot your device and update the drivers. You can also try updating the Batteries drivers along with display drivers from manufacturer’s website.
