Windows 10: Single, non-MBR disk operating at 100% since update W11 KB5029263

Since the Windows 11 Home KB5029263 update, I have a single disk a data disk, not the MBR/boot disk in a multi-disk system that has been misbehaving. The rest are working fine.The slightest operation copying a file to/from the disk, or even just Plex scanning it for new content will set it to running at 100% activity for long periods, making it essentially useless. When it is running at 100% activity, there are few/no read or write operations, just full "activity."The disk is a 2TB Western Digital Blue EZAZ

Registry issues after newest cumulative update for W11 (KB5029263)

I recently upgraded to W11 Pro, and because I had to make some tweaks in the registry editor I first wanted to back it up, but once I tried it brought errors and it wasn't fully backed up. I realized that one registry key is not accessible and after looking for some time I found that I can't open the key at: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\CurrentControlSet\Control

The following error is displayed: "Cannot display: Error reading the value's contents.

I know this is because of the KB5029263 update because I reinstalled Windows and tried opening the key multiple times and it succeeded every time until I updated my system today to the KB502926 update. Any idea how to fix this?

 

Poodlefake hardware to Run W11 on MBR only computer

I just installed a new W11 Pro on my System 1 (listed in My Computers) which has an i5-7600 CPU. It installed with no warnings.



Whynot W11 recognizes the incorrect CPU but W11 doesn't seem to mind. I couldn't find any warnings anywhere that the VM is non -compliant. I had this running for a couple of hours before I realized that the VM wasn't part of the insider program. I added it to the insider program and still no warnings.

I have W11 VM that boots on a mbr setup and that one displays a warning that the system is not compatable:

 

Clean install, disk usage at 100%

I've seen that article. and I am in fact not running that driver. I followed the steps and it does not appear in the list.
