Site-specific desktop icons formed by chrome work on my windows 10 pc, but not on my windows 11 pc and vice versa. Unfortunately, OneDrive forces both pc's to display the same desktop icons, so half the icons on each pc won't work. My best workaround is to put shortcuts of each type in different folders, and then hide the dis-functional folders appropriately for each pc. It would be nice to hide the dis-functional shortcuts themselves, but I haven't been able to since each pc refuses to hide the links that don't work on it. Does anyone have a better solution?

Windows 10 desktop icons not in order

In ccleaner, did you uncheck cleaning the icon cache... have not used in a while; however, I think that is what the option is called.

Now, if you are setting the icons and they move after you have set the settings and not changed them... you may have the "Random Windows 10 Icon movement problem".
Some people have this and some don't.

Remove Linux Desktop Icons

I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.

 

Add desktop icons from Google Chrome

I use Google Chrome and cannot figure out how to add desktop icons for specific websites now that I have Windows 10. Can anyone offer any suggestions?
