Windows 10: Site to GET sample viruses to check how good A/V is

Hi folks
Are there any decent testbeds of sites / databases et where one can actually download some viruses etc so one can really test a machine for resiliency.

You'd have to sandbox / firewall / isolate the deliberately infected computer but there must be some sites where you can download this stuff or at least a sample of it. I don't believe half the stuff I read in the so called technical mags -- would be fine to actually test stuff on your own machine -- keep isolated from other ones though !!!!!.

Could try deliberately infecting machine with "dubious torrents" but that is so random - you might never get any virus that way.

There must be some public databases for people to test this -- of course if you do find any and want to test --take precautions and as always extremely AYOR.

Question on viruses and documents

Once the virus is removed just use a reputable antivirus program like AVG. I suggest AVG because it does check usb devices for viruses automatically once you stick the usb drive into the usb port.

Various Anti Virus Vendors have a Facility to check Suspect Files via Upload all i can suggest is you check thru your installed A/V Program to see if your A/V Program has this Capability.
