How to skipping Hyper-V Directories from folder Scanning in Windows Security on Windows 11?

Hello,

By default, scans are saved in a Scans folder inside the Pictures. Here are the steps on how to get there:

• Press Windows and type pictures
• Click Pictures and double-click the Scans folder.

Items skipped during scan

I have recently been receiving the following message when I run the defender quick/full scans.

"Items skipped during scan.

The windows defender antivirus scan skipped an item due to exclusion or network scanning settings."

I can't think of any recent changes I have made to my computer.

Any suggestions?

Can not scan system32 folder for viruses as it's in the exclusion list

Recently the Windows defender on my PC gave me a notification about a StopCrypt.MYK!MTB ransomware virus which has been moved into quarantine. The problem is that whenever click on remove the system gives me a notification that Remediation Incomplete.

I tried to just scan the system32 folder through custom scan but it turns out that system32 folder with Programdata folder have been moved into the Exclusion list of windows defender and are automatically skipped from virus scan.

Another problem is that i am not able to remove these folders from the Exclusion list.
