Windows 10: skullcandy headphones detected as speakers??

okay, so i'm not exactly sure what kind of skullcandy headphones they are, but they're wired, the ones where you can unplug the wire so you can replace it or whatever. i know my headphones aren't the issue, i've tried them on multiple other devices and they've never had this problem before i switched to windows 10. at first, i plugged them into the front jack of my computer and there was a white noise, so i tried plugging it into the back one. this completely broke them. my audio is now muffled and it's nearly impossible to hear anything. i have gone into audio settings multiple times, and i've still found no way to fix this issue, since there is no other option that actually works for my headphones.


before you say anything, yes, i've tried reinstalling my audio drivers. i've tried unplugging and plugging them back in again countless times.


it's a bit strange, since they work completely fine until theres audio of someone talking. i was testing it out on spotify, and it seems that whenever speech is played it just stops working. dunno if thats a side effect of the headphones being "speakers" or what, but this is very very frustrating, as i JUST got this computer and i really wanted to relax.

Skullcandy Launches the Air Raid Wireless Speaker

Any headphones you buy can break. Not sure hoe they broke, but most of Skullcandy headphone do not break easily unless mistreated.
Skullcandy is not a fashion compared to Beats. At least when skullcandy has issues, they will replace it. Beats are garbage and has always been.
I own a few pairs of Skullcandy, Aviators and Navigators both are very good.
Least Skullcandy gives you lifetime warranty. I would like to try these speakers.
