Windows 10: Skyp App on Windows 10 shows camera but there is no feed, no image

Hello,


I have a desktop with Windows 10. I recently purchased a live camera full HD, Spedal, which is compatible with Windows 10.


The camera is recognized by the system: I can take pictures, I can hear sound.


However, when I connect with Skype using the system app, Skype shows me the camera but there is absolutely no image, no feed.


I tried my camera on Skype online, and it works well.


So what could be the conflict with Skype app on Windows and my camera?


I would really like to be able to use my camera via the desktop app rather than having to log on the web platform.

Camera app not showing image

The camera app on Windows 10 is not showing any image despite the camera is turned on (light next to the camera). Any suggestions on how to solve this problem?

Success in resetting Store; that produced a download of the Windows camera, despite seeing error message again, download proceeded. Screen shows MS app for Windows camera and indicates downloaded. (Camera now listed in app list.) But when Launch was selected,
no action after screen with camera icon. Eventually message appeared " something went wrong: here is message code if needed: 0x400F4271>MediaCaptureFailedEvent>0xC00D3704. We seem to be moving ahead a step at a time. Next suggestion?

 

Windows 10 Tweaks

As you may already know, Windows 10 (as well as Windows 8) allow you to log in with a valid Microsoft account, instead of creating a local account that only works on your machine. However, you may prefer to keep a local account for privacy reasons. If you do, though, some Windows 10 features—like Cortana—may not work. Despite the default behavior, the Windows 10 Store is not one of them. You can still log in to your Microsoft account for just the Store without switching to a full Microsoft account. The process, however, is not terribly obvious. To do so, follow these steps:

• Launch the Store from your Start menu.
• Click the user icon next to the search box.
• Click “Sign-in” from the menu that appears.
• Choose “Microsoft account” and log in like normal.
• When the “Make it yours” box appears do not enter your password. Instead, click “Sign in to just this app instead.”
