Windows 10: Sleep button triggers lock screen since 10+ months now

    Sleep button triggers lock screen since 10+ months now


    So, this problem is going on now since a while, i think 10+ months, i have made a video to show the problem, as you can see we are on my desktop - green screen, then i click the power button for having the PC go to sleep and the lock screen shows for a few moments and then goes to sleep.

    This is extremely annoying and it shouldn't be like that. Additionally it doesn't do it ALL the time like this but a good 7 out of 10 times.

    Can we please have this fixed? i have reported this so many times now.

    Computer is ASUS VivoBook S15 S510UQ

    Video Drivers
    Nvidia Geforce 441.41-notebook-win10-64bit-international-whql-rp
    Intel UHD Graphics 620 v.24.20.100.6286, vendor ID 8086, device ID 5917, device revision 07, Graphics Output Protocol (GOP) 9.0.1066

    shall I uninstall NVIDIA drivers and the intel or first one then the other?

    Lock screen not working on sleep

    Hi Polly,

    To be able to lock your screen while on Sleep mode, you can follow these steps:

    • Press the Windows key.
    • Type Sign in and hit
      Enter.
    • Select the option When PC wakes up from sleep under Require Sign-in.

    Lock and sleep "button"

    How do I get rid of the lock and sleep button only? I just want the shut down and log off button yet for the life of me can not find any thing to do this.

    • Were there any changes made on your computer prior to the issue (e.g., updates, software installation)?
