Windows 10: Sleep not working in a laptop with only S0 sleep state

I have a problem with a program which sleeps windows computers. It is working in plenty of them. Now i have acquired a new laptop and i noticed that this system no works anymore. It is in Windows 11 although i think that it is irrelevant at this point.Commands for turning off and restart works okayI downloaded nircmd.exe and execute nircmd.exe standby. It didnt work and i had no feedback.Then, i downloaded PStools and tried psshutdown64.exe -d. It didnt work and i told that the system does not support suspend.This is not correct, if a go to the windows icon and press sleep, it enters in standb

My laptop does not enter sleep, instead it enters hibernate. I ran powercfg /a, and got the following:

The following sleep states are available on this system:
Standby (S0 Low Power Idle) Network Connected
Hibernate

The following sleep states are not available on this system:
Standby (S1)
The system firmware does not support this standby state.
This standby state is disabled when S0 low power idle is supported.

Standby (S2)
The system firmware does not support this standby state.
This standby state is disabled when S0 low power idle is supported.

Standby (S3)
This standby state is disabled when S0 low power idle is supported.

Hybrid Sleep
Standby (S3) is not available.

Fast Startup
This action is disabled in the current system policy.

I am thinking that the issue may be the fact that S1,S2,S3 are not available. Is it just the way my laptop was set by the manufacturer, or is something wrong?

 

Wake On Lan and S0 power state

Hello everyone,

I have been using WOL for many years. I had to change the PC (now W11 Pro) and now I can't Google any working solution. I followed many tutorials including this one. I found out the problem is the Modern Standby state S0. This is my powercfg -a.

Of course, I tried this tutorial.

The interesting fact is that WOL works first +- 2 minutes after shutdown. Would it be possible to change the time from 2 minutes to infinite? I have no idea if it is possible to change it via regedit or something else. Waking up from sleep/hibernation doesn't work even during those first 2 minutes.

Is there any working solution, please?

I am Sumit here to assist you with this question.

S0 low power Idle is the ideal sleep state, that quickly turns on the computer if required. If S0 low power Idle is available, S1-S3 would not be available. This is by design.

The fact that PC goes to hibernation is because Fast startup is disabled by the system policy. Is there a reason for that?
