  2. Using laptop as desktop - can't wake it from sleep with wireless mouse or keyboard.

    • 4. Test waking from Sleep with the monitor connected to the laptop.
    • 5. Disconnect the monitor from the laptop, reboot, then test waking from Sleep without an external monitor.

No luck with monitor connected. Disconnected the monitor, rebooted, then tested wake-from-sleep with no external monitor - no luck.

  3. Display won't turn off after specified time

    Thanks for your response.

The desktop application that I using is Video Converter Ultimate by Wondershare.

While I have the monitor set to go to sleep after an hour. Last night I set it to one minute but didn't go to sleep as this morning monitor was still on without changing sleep settings.

I understand media players when playing video media monitor won't go to sleep.

    Thanks for looking into this.

    Sleep on Monitor

I don't think you can do anything. That is the monitor issuing that message. When you first turn on the monitor it's not getting a signal from the computer so goes into it's own sleep mode. Once a signal is received from the computer it works normally.

Try turning on the computer first. Wait 5 seconds then turn on the monitor. You won't get the going to sleep message.
