Windows 10: sleep password

For whatever reason my HP laptop with Windows 10 changes my settings on it's own
or even if the settings is what I want, it does the opposite. When my laptop goes to sleep and I wake it, it wants my password even though it is set to not ask just wake. It just started to do this for no reason one day. I have searched and searched and did what some people are saying to do even though it's already set to NEVER or NO. And I see a lot of people are having this problem from way back in 2015. Why wont it listen to what I'm asking it to do. I don't need it to ask for password ever. I even changed it to never sleep while plugged in and it does the opposite of that too. It's really getting on my nerves. Anyone find a fix for this. I just don't get why it would just one day start doing that. I never go in and change any of my settings.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

You may try this steps:

• Type Power & sleep settings in the search bar.
• Click on Additional power settings
• On the right side of the screen, click on Require a password on wake up
• Under password protection on wake up, select the button that says required a password (recommended)
• When your computer wakes up from sleep.
• No one can access your data without entering the correct password to unlock the computer.
• Clck on create or change user account password if you do not have one or you want to change your password.
  
• Click on save changes below.

• Click on Accounts.
• Click on Sign-in options.
• Choose Never from the drop-down menu under Require sign-in to complete the task.

password and sleep

In windows 10, when i put the computer to sleep...it wakes up fine (no password required). However when windows goes into sleep by itself after inactivity, it always requires a password...even though NO password is required in control panel settings...I've
tried different power settings, etc to no avail. Any suggestions?
