    Sleeping Tabs in MS Edge, shows in file explorer in taskbar!


    I am a diehard fan of MS Edge, I use it everywhere for any purpose. BUT, in this device, whenever a tab goes to sleep, it shows in the taskbar in the windows explorer window! Mean to say, the tab is still a tab, but in the taskbar, it is in the windows file explorer window, and if I click it, it goes to edge only, and if I quit that window, it closes that tab, it is quite weird. Hopefully, there is a solution to this. BTW I really like sleeping tab feature, because it's very resource-friendly and, this is my Slowest device, so MS Edge is really smooth.

    Edge taskbar preview only showing first tab.

    My problem is that the Edge thumbnail preview that displays when hovering over the icon on the taskbar only shows the active tab in each window, instead of all tabs. This started after I had an issue were Edge opened off screen (running multiple displays).
    I had to use shift + right click Move to get it back. That's when it stopped showing all the tabs in the preview. It still shows the different windows I have open, but only the active tab on each window. Internet Explorer still shows all the open tabs in
    the taskbar preview. The taskbar preview works for all other programs I tried so the problem seems to be isolated to Edge. I was able to narrow it down to about a 15 minute window of when the change occurred so if there are any event logs that might shed
    light on what happened.

    To assist you with your concern, we suggest you pin the File Explorer from the Start Menu by following these steps:

    • Click the Start Menu.
    • Right-click File Explorer.
    • Choose Pin to taskbar.

    I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

    • First unpin the File Explorer from the task bar.
    • Press Windows + E.
    • And right click on File Explorer in the taskbar.
    • And Pin the File Explorer to Taskbar and Check if it helps.
