Windows 10: Slideshow app only shows 30 pictures then loops

There seems to be a bug in the Windows 10 slideshow app. If you have a folder with more than 30 pictures in it, and you view the first one, then click the slideshow button, it will only show 30 pictures and then loop back to the first picture. I am talking about the slideshow that you get when you click this button when viewing a picture:



It does the same on several Windows 10 machines that I've tried. Does anyone know a fix? Or the name of another decent slideshow viewing program?

Slide Show issues while accessing Photos

I re-installed photos, but it didn't help.

It still only shows 30 photos in the slideshow before looping back to the start

There is still no way to control the speed

 

Windows 10 Photos app slideshow repeats after 30 pictures.

I created a folder with 160 of our best pictures from our wedding and honeymoon in Hawaii and when running the slideshow in the windows photo app it only goes through 30 pictures before starting over at the beginning. I tried the photo viewer slideshow
and for some reason it only uses like 40% of the screen (even though it goes into "full screen" mode.) I would prefer to run it in the photos app because it will also play a few short videos that I've thrown in. It seems to restart after 30 pictures regardless
of whether or not videos are included in the slideshow. Is there a fix for this? Or another program that can play a slideshow with 160 pictures and a few short videos?
