Windows 10: Slow App Launch with Delays

Hello!My apps do not launch instantly as they used to do. There is a small delay from 2-5 seconds even more some apps, sometimes even more when I try to start something. I do not know what is going on here but I will be more than happy if someone can help me. This also happens with Windows 11Can you help me somehow with those problems? I am frustrated…Things I’ve tried:Clean bootNo services bootNo startup items bootSafe mode with networkingSFC /scannow + all the tools for repairsWindows Repair software from MajorgeeksAdwcleaner + Malwarebytes 0 viruses/malware/adwareBanging my head again

App launch delay

I am running Windows 10 Professional with the latest update. There is a noticeable several second lag when l launch an app from the command line or from keyboard shortcuts. There is no delay launching apps from the start menu or shortcut.

I saw via Google query that ending the Application Frame Host process fixed the issue for another individual having the same problem. Sure enough, that worked for me, but the delay returned shortly after.

Rebooting does not help.

Is there a permanent fix for this?

 

Delay launching programs with keyboard shortcuts

From reading around, my understanding (and I stand to be corrected) is that the 2-3 second delay is a Windows default delay where Windows searches for any other app or program running at the time on your PC which MIGHT have the same shortcut as the program you are running and switch over to it instead of running the program initiated by your shortcut. In case of any unresponsive or misbehaving app or program, Windows waits 2-3 seconds before moving on to the next running program.

As regards the store and settings, I would try to reset at least the store app as per instructions here :
Clear and Reset Store Cache in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials

I would also disable fast startup at least once and do a full shutdown and restart as often times it helps to get rid of some bugs in Windows.
