  1. Slow Boot, Disk 100%

I installed Windows 10 pro yesterday on my brand new laptop (Acer E5 576G). After using it for several hours I realized that sometime Disk on task bar goes uptup 100% and laptop becomes a little bit sluggish (Highest disk usage service was superfetch - don't know whether it's every time). And the boot up is very slow it's taking almost 1 or 2 minute/s to boot up. Please help me fix this I already did the StorAHCI.sys fix that mentioned in here ( https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3083595/task-manager-might-show-100-disk-utilization-on-windows-10-devices-wit ). Thank you in advance.

    :)

  2. 100% disk usage on boot up for at least 5 to 10 minutes

Hi there, I did a clean boot as you suggested and the boot up time became considerably longer and although disk usage was 100%, this was only for a minute or so. The program at the top of the disk utilisation list this time though was service host:superfetch.

However I then didn't disable anything in the services tab but disabled all the programs in the startup tab and restarted. This resulted in a very speedy boot up AND there was no 100% disk utilisation. I've done this several times enabling a couple of programs
on startup and the disk utilisation is no longer 100%.

It appears therefore as though it was some kind of conflict in the startup programs that was causing the 100% disk utilisation.

Thanks very much for your assistance.

  4. Slow Boot, Disk 100%

    100 % Disk Usage - Windows 10 - Very Slow Boot

A computer should run normally if there are no hindrance during the startup or unnecessary programs that run on your computer. Having a 100% disk usage means that there are too many background applications running that almost fed up all your remaining RAM
    (Random Access Memory).

We would like to know if you have already performed step#4, step#6, and step#8?

    These are:

    • Checking for low disk space and making some room on your storage.
    • Uninstall all other programs that you no longer used.
    • Checking for corrupted Windows system files.

If your computer has an application or process that is using a high percentage of memory or CPU usage, it will now require your operating system to be refreshed by performing a clean boot. This includes the resetting of system processes that are running
    under services.msc.

    Here's what you can do:

    • Disable all your third-party anti-viruses and enable Windows Defender only.
    • Keep at least 30% or
30GB of free space on your hard drive for optimum results.
    • Make sure that your hard drive is not full (With warning message indicated in
      red color).
    • Make sure you are using an Administrator account.
    • Unplug all unnecessary external devices that is not currently in used (External hard disk, webcams, etc.).
    • Have a stable Internet connection.
    • No background applications running.
    • All other programs and applications were closed.
    • If you are using a laptop, make sure that the power adapter is plugin.
    • You have updated BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) driver from your computer’s manufacturer.

To perform a clean boot, visit this
    link
for more information and follow the instructions. Once there, go to the
How to perform a clean boot” section.

Give us a feedback if you already performed these steps.
