Windows 10: Slow Boot on Windows 10

Hi there,


My laptop got suddenly slow boot, very slow. Start with an Asus logo, then going into black screen for about 10-15 minutes, even more before entering the logon screen. There is a cursor while in black screen. Sometime, no cursor but only loading logo.


I have already repair the windows, uninstall and reinstall the graphic driver, etc. Nothing works.


I decide to buy new SSD gen 3x4, 512gb and migrate the system from HDD to SSD. It fix a lot. Booting time much much faster


But there is still a black screen for about 10-20 second before logon screen. The black screen has no windows logo or loading logo. Just a black screen with nothing. A similiar black screen before i move from HDD to SSD


I think the problem isnt solved yet, but moving from HDD to SSD help much. I thought it was startup services issue, but have no idea which services or task schedulers are the problem


Anyone has an idea? what is really going on with my laptop and how to solved this issue?

I was having a slow boot issue on my Windows 7 install a little while back. It would take about 30 - 40 extra seconds to boot up for whatever reason.

I would try following these steps, while this didn't solve my issue, it did increase Read/Write to where it should be.

In the end, I had to reinstall my Windows 7 entirely to fix the booting issue. It was taking around 35 seconds to boot, and after the fresh install it takes about 7 seconds to boot.

Just done a fresh install of windows 10. Still got the same problem.
Turn pc on from cold or a restart. Hangs on the win boot logo for a minute or so then boots in to the desktop
cant work it out why its so slow to boot up? any ideas*Mad

To add to what @Drone said, W10 still does not seem to like power-saving features in BIOS, and doesn't seem to like the "fast start" option in Windows, which ironically makes it faster without that option.
