Windows 10: Slow boot time to OS

Discus and support Slow boot time to OS in Windows 10 Ask Insider to solve the problem; As the title suggests, the load time of OS is extremely long(spinning white dots i believe), about 15-25 seconds.     Slow boot time to OS


    As the title suggests, the load time of OS is extremely long(spinning white dots i believe), about 15-25 seconds. Which makes my boot-up time from button pressed to windows screen 50~ seconds

    Windows is installed on SSD, and i have another HDD connected.



    Troubleshooting:

    1) Startup processes are all left with steam and discord, the rest are disabled

    2) Disabling and enabling fast startup (doesn't make a difference)



    I can provide extra info if needed, thanks

    Specs:

    Ryzen5 3600

    Asrock b450m pro4

    GTX 1660

    16gb RAM

    Slow boot time on SSD 6-mins OS loading screen

    Degradation here might have been gradual too but I cannot confirm... def not SSD speeds... something IS wrong. Here are some specs from mine...

    Now, would an update of Windows REALLY fix this? Doesn't this issue happen BEFORE we arrive "inside" the OS?

    Boot performance may slow can be due to corruptions. To assist you better, kindly answer the following questions:

    • Have you made any recent changes before this issue occur?
    • Have you tried booting up your laptop in Safe Mode and check if the issue still persist?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

    .net framework 3.5 causing slow boot times

    I agree with you, but he said it's still slow after a clean install. But even with a clean install something is trying to use 3.5 and it could be windows. I'd try the service packs then do what you suggested. *Toast :toast:
