    Task Manager is showing 77% memory usage. How much do you have and what is using it? You can check the Resource Monitor and Memory tab to get a graphical presentation of how it is being used.

    Have you considered increasing the amount of Memory, if you can?

    The system only has 4GB RAM, not ideal, but enough. It's certainly not the culprit.

    I shouldn't need to "boost" the performance of Windows... It should, and used to, perform just fine... At this point, I agree with axe0 and think my next logical course of action is to try cloning the disk.

    Unfortunately, I don't have one so it'll be a few days before I can try it and update this thread.
